I think EY. Deloitte doesn’t have a huge presence in Houston. In Houston it’s mainly PwC or EY.
I’m from the Pwc Houston office
Who did you vibe with better? Go with your gut feeling and pick what you think is best for you and your family.
The firms are okay, but the traffic is horrible!!
EY all the way!
Both are great choices, I would do research into benefits to add to your decision factor. Deloitte gives 25 PTO, 6 month maternity leave 4 months paternity leave, 401k match sucks tho. Good luck
25 PTO days!!!! Is that just for senior? Ffs
I’ve only heard bad things about Deloitte in Houston
Left Deloitte Houston for BDO . That’s how much they suck. Probably will go to EY or PwC after I finished my CPA. No for Deloitte, trust me
Benefits for EY are similar to Deloitte above at a Senior level. Has pension after 4yrs
I didn’t hear good things about the PWC team . I met some people who actually left the team to Deloitte or KPMG.
I work a lot with people in the Houston office (tax). Typically their utilization is more reasonable compared to other offices in the Southwest. A matter of fact, Houston is toward the very bottom in utilization for the region. I think the office size plays to its advantage. A lot of the smaller offices in the southwest feel the need to justify their existence by expecting their people to work more. Houston and Dallas together make up around 60% of the hours charged in total, so they dont need to justify shit.
