Anyone been able to work from Dubai for a UK/US firm and benefit from no taxes? I know if you are a US citizen you pay taxes where you are globally, but if you are British, then you only pay income tax on UK income - so if you live more than half the year abroad you are classed as non-domicile resident, but wanted to hear if anyone’s done this or heard about it?

So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. I also literally just started contributing to my 401K so I’m also late in the game for that too.

Anyone have a good online calculator or way to adjust their W-4 towards the end of the year so they don’t get slammed with a high tax bill? I know I’m too late for 2020, but curious for next year...I got slapped with a 6-figure tax bill last year. 😑 My wife and I made adjustments to our 2020 W-4s, but afraid it wasn’t enough.

Need help on how to invest. We are positioned to pay off our house later this year. Expect to work for another ~20 years. 401k fully funded and have some company stock investments maturing over the next few years, but no investments outside of that. Kids have a prepaid college plan for certain schools. Emergency fund is solid. Where should I look to start investing? Have an acquaintance who is a single mom; she purchased a used car 3 mos ago. Six wks later her 17yo wrecked it, air bags deployed, and estimates have ranged between $10-$18k in needed repairs while $21k is still owed. Acquaintance was switching insurance policies and flubbed the coverage dates and there were a few days where the vehicle was uninsured. No GAP insurance. I'm not seeing many options for her besides to continue pmts, fixing just enough to drive or voluntary repo. Thoughts?

Received a letter from Wells Fargo today. They are offering a refinance of fixed 30 year mortgage at 3.5%. I have no idea how they can do this judging by today’s interest rates. Hi all, I’m looking to learn about how one can transition from PwC AC to PwC India.
I joined PwC AC Bangalore as a fresher and have been working here for 13 months.
I was randomly assigned to SAP, but I’ve realised I really want to move away from this and move towards what I originally planned on pursuing i.e. data analysis, I was already well versed in ML and DL with python.
