Better to just exit consulting for a good industry role

I think it’s a little easier than getting a consulting role out of undergrad but I agree not by that much. The nice thing about consulting is that there’s generally a decent bar no matter where you are regionally. For industry, a lot of cities have barely a handful of good opportunities
So ridiculous that people concern themselves with being “less prestiguous”. 50% of our staff is made up of ex ACN and D folks. Clearly they have no issue with the prestige.
All kidding aside OP, if prestige is really important to you, Slalom might not be the place for you to land. We do have a flatter Org and our career development framework leaves plenty to be desires. If you’re looking to stop travelling and still do consulting, it’s a good place to join. I really like it here.
My experience with the MSP office between 2017-2018 was different, it was all staff aug. May be it depends on the office you are in. They sell you cutting edge stuff during interview but actual work might be different. The feeling i got is they staff you for a project and later you get whatever is available - staff aug work.

Go for it. You're early in your career, take the bump and try to make a name for yourself at Slalom. If it doesn't work out, you should be able to boomerang or transition to industry if you can craft a compelling story.
What level at Slalom?
Thanks, I stand corrected. Hopefully Slalom has figured out how and when to delineate between the two more consistently
Had someone on my team go over from manager at big4. His main complaint is upward trajectory and pay at the leadership levels. Sounds like it’s pretty much run as a corporation. He says the work isn’t that different from what he was doing before. Socially it’s much better for him as there’s no travel, he’s able to build a life where he lives. And there was an immediate pay bump yes. He’s talking about coming back though. I think there just aren’t as many leadership positions and the pay tops out drastically (as opposed to big4 where there is lots of room to grow, pension, etc)
Probably a little more pay to offset the regular travel schedule. But that team has had MAJOR issues and restructuring.
