When I worked for a state agency complaints could be submitted to the Employee Relations department (I worked ER Investigations). I encourage you to please reach and see what can be done. Unfortunately when it come to a hostile work environment there’s only so much that can be done especially when it’s someone on the management staff
Thanks. It’s unfortunate when toxic people are in upper level management.
Tell them to make a move first. if it's legit, ER will open investigation and takes up quiet a bit of time and employee cannot be let go during investigation
Retaliation is very specific - it only counts if there was an actionable action against the person being retaliated against (demotion, pay cut, termination, etc).
