Hi Fishes, I am in the salary negotiation with a startup in Ad-Tech space located in Bangalore. I am in the HR field and the new role is exactly what I am looking for. But the CTC offered is 8LPA which is on the lower end considering average salary of the role and company.
Please suggest if I should go ahead with the offer.
I have no other offer in hand as of now.
I became a people manager in the middle of a major implementation last year and we didn’t have a conversation around compensation changes - which I recognize was a huge mistake on my side for not ensuring we did. I don’t know if I can appropriately have the conversation now. I’m also considering leaving for a new position, but unsure if I could even make more money elsewhere. I’m currently a Senior HRIS Analyst making $99k base + 10% bonus potential. Just looking for some advice.

So incredibly frustrated with my company’s maternity policy. 0 parental leave and 6 weeks at 60%. I was told when I joined parental leave was changing for the better to be tech driven, and now pregnant I’m told that leadership changed their mind. Has anyone started at a new company while pregnant and was allowed leave? 6 weeks is absolutely discouraging for maternity leave—a woman hasn’t even fully recovered

Test drove the genesis GV70 and it was a dream. Looking to buy a luxury mid size SUV since I’ve driven used cars all along. We are expecting in a few months and want to upgrade, if possible. I drive a 2016 fusion
I can’t wrap my head around buying new since I’ve always bought used. Also, I don’t know if I deserve a car like that. How did you decide on a luxury car?

Non-exempt employee? After interviewing for a sales position for a SaaS company, I received an offer. The recruiter made it sound like it was a salary, when I received the offer, I come to find out that they pay “hourly” as a non-exempt employee. Has anyone ever worked as a non-exempt employee before? I think I’m going to dislike tracking my hours. They do pay “overtime” though.

I love my team, but I feel like I may need to move on. I am at 70k a year and have been told time and time again that I have learned faster than anyone they have seen and am a top performer. Hey there peeps
I’ve been invited to interview at that company that brings everyone their orders in blue vans (coughAMZcough) and they ask up front about expected total compensation.
The role recently was renamed, but I believe it’s an L6, non-technical role. My question is any ideas how many RSUs are offered at that level?

I am coming up on my one year review at my company where I had started last Nov. I am 30 years old and have about 12 years of work experience. I also have an MBA and make $60k per year. I spoke with a company regarding employment opportunities and they said that I am extremely underpaid by about $15k. I also have listened to my coworkers stating that their salary of $70k is too low, when they are a) 5-6 years younger than me and b) this is their first job. How do I negotiate for an increase?
Has anyone had luck negotiating their total comp after HR has removed benefits? Any tips or strategies?

Hello, I saw a job posting that said salary range for this role is 70-90k. I interviewed for the role and told them my range is 95-105k. They came back with an offer of 95k. Should I negotiate the salary or leave it be since they went over what they posted, even though they met my low range. I was hoping to get 100k. Should I renegotiate the salary?? Should I leave the salary and negotiate a sign on bonus?? And if yes, can I get some examples pls? Thank you
