Transferring from Solutions would be pretty difficult given it isn’t client facing (‘CSP’) at the firm. Expert consulting to generalist would be doable
Hmmm.. it would be a lot of customer facing and customer interaction/20+ team working directly with the customer - is what I have been told.. travel is 50-60%. Role is EM/Customer Success Manager.
At that level you are considered a consultant, not a (semi-)internal member. However, you still have a different skill set and toolkit than generalist colleagues.
Switching to fully integrative will require what’s called a a track change. As an EM that may be tricky, since you will likely not bring the toolkit that other EMs have acquired. At lower levels, eg from Specialist to Associate, this is more likely to happen, but even then you need strong support from partners.
Thank you!!
