How is John St these days for accounts?
Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

Anyone know the raise amounts for BCG yet?
McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.
A BCG recruiter ghosted me after she reached out to schedule an interview. How long should I wait before following up? What is the common courtesy to give to ppl at BCG. I don’t wanna come off as too aggressive but I really need to get this interview set as there are other pending confirmations Boston Consulting Group

It will get your resume seen and reviewed if it’s decently strong

I actually haven’t looked into it too much so not entirely sure how it works since I didn’t have to do it when I interviewed. There should be a page on the mck website about it though!
For what it’s worth (and not trying to get your hopes down), but I recently was rejected at screening with a referral from a BA. I was surprised, given I thought my resume checked out. Still waiting on feedback - could be tougher now given COVID
Regardless of referral, you still need a strong profile. Also BA’s are most likely referring their friends from college, so your resume might get looked at, but doesn’t mean much
Sorry to hear that, C2. Hard to say what the reasons might be. I’ve had more luck networking with BA’s because they seem more willing to talk
It all works out in the end, I’m sure I’ll apply again down the line. Good luck with your own application! Certainly agree with your point about BA’s, but it also doesn’t hurt to shoot your shot with more senior staff
In my experience, having a referral doesn't hurt and might help, but if it's not from someone with sway (e.g. Partner, maybe a Principal) you're increasing your hiring chances from 1% to 2% (or something similar). Doubling your chances is pretty good, but it's very competitive - no matter how great you are, rejection is the most likely outcome.
