They will not provide a raise. If they do, it’ll be minimal and dependent only on your CFL. I think the way they see it is that they provided you an education for free, so no need for extra compensation.
That seems to be the general consensus... I’m currently sitting on about 4 YOE and it’s time to start thinking about an MBA.
Current company provides way less comp, but my work/life balance is really good and I could pretty easily pursue a part time MBA that they would help pay. Sounds like I might be best off taking advantage of that, sticking with the lower comp for a few years, and then looking for something bigger post MBA?
Remember: the folks who get the post MBA bump fall in two buckets: 1) had a formal sponsorship that included an increase in comp at completion 2) were recruited from the top MBA campuses for post MBA roles. Don’t expect to do a part time/no name program and get your current employer to give you these salaries without the express promise and also remember that recruitment is geared towards FT students so part time or exec MBAs will have a harder time getting the same opportunities and there for the same pay off. Sorry to be blunt, but this app is littered with one off or bad advice and if you’re going to invest in yourself or plan for long term growth you need to understand the reality for most people.
I did a pt mba program from an M7 and received multiple consulting post-MBA offers. Once you have the interview, it’s all about how you sell yourself.
OP - if you do Pt, make sure you understand how you are integrated with full time students during recruiting (I.e. look for schools that do not delineate the two programs during on campus recruiting).
