Ugh, I did (do) struggle with the same issues. I literally do the thing where I make my thumb and forefinger into an L to remember which direction is right and which is left. If you can secretly get away with that during your driving test, I say do it.
Right of way is tough. It’s better to let a few extra people (if, say, at a four way stop) go than to go too early and cause an accident or fail the test. They might ding you a little for hesitating, but they will also take into account you’re learning and hesitancy is normal. If you go too soon, though, they are more likely to reconsider giving you a permit.
Driving is also something that our brains have to work really hard at initially to do right but it becomes easier over time. This is not to say we shouldn’t be paying attention when we drive, but that weird rules like rights of way become a little more intuitive. So don’t feel despondent if you’re “not getting it.” And remember it’s always better to be cautious and wrong than risky and wrong.
Good luck!!!!
Thank you! ❤️ I am hopeful
Look into binocular vision dysfunction and vertical heterophoria. It’s very common in ADHDers and still fairly new/specialized field. I got prism glasses (with a very tiny correction) after seeing a specialist and it made driving SO MUCH easier and less stressful
