Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.

River north, old town, LP, lake view- depends on what you’re optimizing for. Spent 3 years in LP, now In RN for 2 years. I prefer LP, but that’s just because I like what it offers. Happy to talk more if helpful.

Could you please elaborate more on what LP offers in particular?
Logan Square !! More space for same amount of money as Lincoln Park. Many restaurants , bars and green space
I'm in West Town / Noble Square (think between Wicker Park and West loop). I lived in bucktown and Logan square a few years ago and vastly prefer the northwest side to the north side (LP, RN). My wife and I pay $2,600 for a two-bedroom that's a five-minute walk from a blue-line stop.
PwC 4 We can't let the secret out about West Town being pretty great 😂🤫 Seems like not OP's jam due to lake proximity but to each their own :)

Streeterville. Goal Coast. Lincoln Park. As a single woman about to turn 30 making I like those areas. I personally live in Streeterville and pay $2300 for a one bed 750 sq. My building has an Equinox gym. Very nice amenities. I am close to sooo many things and I love it!
Come over to Lakeshore East
Based on your interests, river north. Plenty of recently built high rises, with steakhouses and bars galore. Gyms and such too. Try to live along the red line subway near Grand, Chicago or Clark/Division stops. Clark/Division area is a little cheaper and less hip (but more divey vs swanky bars), but not far (10-15 min walk) from the core river north action.
