Does anyone have any useful articles, tweets, insta posts that I could send people when they say “if I can’t say that then what CAN I say, everything is offensive.” I’m tired.

I could sugarcoat this but why: What’s the whitest agency? Or which agency is the LEAST diverse?

When agencies post pics of their white staff, and boasts that they’re all about diversity, I call BS. A diverse house doesn’t mean the IT person or the receptionist- unless they’re also creatives!:)

Does anyone have experience confronting workplace inequality? Any lawyer recommendations? Things to say/not say?

I’m sad that instead of showing that there are no differences between human beings, we are advocating for races (what I understand it is very necessary). Just afraid that will create more division.

I know most of the questions here will be on sexism or inclusion of POC but can we talk about ageism? Once we reach a certain age should we just leave the agency business? Is that fair?

I notice that your “visual identity” for this workshop represents different sexes and different cultures - but no older people - who are now bearing the brunt of ageism. Why have we been left out?

Thank you Nadia for your insights. I’m frustrated gaps still exist in the industry; and the diversity & inclusion needle hasn’t move much since Al Sharpton protested on Madison Ave in the 90’s

FWIW, I think in the advertising world there should be a greater effort to have a diverse staff FT vs. hiring contractors strictly for the purpose of making potential clients and investors happy. 🤷

How do we keep leadership from getting so offended and defensive when we professionally and respectfully flag culturally inappropriate work? Oh, the amount of possible Pepsi moments I’ve prevented!
