My brother who has an exp. of 2.5 yrs. as UI/UX designer from his current employer (first company) is looking for change & has applied to few positions.
They ask the applicants to work on an assignment which should typically comprise of atleast 10-15 screens as submissions. Mostly, it's for a live project. ex.: convert the company's website to a mobile version. What if the design ideas are used leaving the applicant high & dryempty for the efforts they've put in. Is there a work around to this?

Joined LTI recently in P3 band. However not allocated any project. Got a call from the resource management team to relocate, which I rejected upfront as I was promised a role in the location I am posted. It has been over 2 weeks since I am in bench. What shall be the next steps, shall I wait for some days or start looking for other jobs as getting a project looks difficult as there are minimalist responses.

Why do partners feel the need to speak when they obviously have very superficial knowledge about the topic? So exhausting pushing back on stupid ideas, needless analysis, unnecessary credit taking attempts and spending time making their input sound coherent with what was already aligned with client. They claim to do a lot of research oriented designs, as everyone. But is that really the case or it's like some other service based companies where the UX is almost vague, and happens mostly based on what the managers think to be good?

Does UX have any value or it's just drafting wireframes based on ideations by the managers and then UI designs?

Does your company conducts a proper UX research in a user centric way?

Did you join as a Product/UX UI designer and were told that they do UX design research, but later came to know that they just focus on UI part only?
