I think this is a painful lesson on why you should avoid conflict with people at work and conduct yourself professionally at all times. Apply and hope that you are treated fairly despite bad blood, but don’t be surprised if they are not supportive.

It absolutely could, especially if the recruiter has sway with the decision-makers. But people also have short memories when the right person solves the right problem. If you’re seriously qualified, it might be worth addressing the past head-on and reframing the story—calm, clear, and forward-looking.
There’s honestly no way to know until you apply. I’d like to think the recruiter would remain unbiased and focus on finding the best person for the role. You could always have an open conversation with them about how you’re feeling and clear the air.

It could be a factor, but strong performance and team backing matter a lot. I’d still apply, be professional with that recruiter, and make sure the hiring manager and others who know your work are fully aware you’re interested and what you’ve accomplished.
It can have some impact, but strong performance and support from your leadership usually carry more weight. If possible, keep things professional and reset the dynamic. Internal hiring often looks at overall reputation and readiness more than one past conflict.
