Step 1: Yell at everyone to let them know you’re in charge and stay calm.
Step 2: Grab the nearest sharp object. Letter opener is best, but if you’re a millennial “working” a job then grab your keyboard’s wrist pad support flappy doodle instead.
Step 3: Instruct everyone to go to a corner where they can witness your heroism for future commendation.
Step 4: Stand by the door and disarm the attacker when they enter with your certified Marine Corps Martial Arts Program Grey Belt training. If another branch, use the flappy doodle to hit the weapon out of the attacker’s hands then proceed with eye gouges and nut/clam shots.
Step 5: Sit on the attacker until police arrive, as your weight from not PTing since leaving the service will be enough to subdue the attacker.
Step 6: Be hero. Claim the real hero are the brave men, women, and in betweens on your team who gave you the courage to fight again (Insert Military Service info for copious thanks)
Genius. I might have to transition to this hard surface rocky doodle instead.
The training isn’t really for you. It’s to test local police response times and gives them a realistic scenario to test their skills. They came in, fire blanks, the whole shebang. We did one in Chelmsford like 3 years ago and the city was super thankful for it. They have all the volunteers specific roles to play (trying to escape vs trying to barricade), couple people get “injured” and taken to the hospital as a way to train triage.
thx for the heads up!
What’s 1.5gr?
Not sure what these drills do or teach. Takes months or years of training to understand what to do when bullets are flying (Ask the Russians) so what are we supposed to learn in a day?
oops typo, 1.5 hours
damn won’t let me edit
