The only way you’re going to make a lot of money on the plaintiff’s side is going to be with commission on cases you bring in AND the ones you work on. Ask for 1/3 of the attorney fees for all cases that you bring in and 5% on all cases you work on.
Your schedule is typical of PI & not bad if you actually get weekends off, especially if your practice is litigation heavy. You’re definitely being underpaid though.

You are heavily overworked and severely underpaid for your YOE. 3 YOE on Plaintiffs side, with just base should be minimum 105-110j. You should strive for a firm that pays a percentage plus base. 8-6pm is ridiculous, that sounds like terrible work life balance.
What state? How big is your caseload?
What state? I'm only a year behind you and I make 70 plus percentage. I suspect you're underpaid.
Definitely low, are you licensed in RI too? I was making $100k with commission after 3 years for a firm thats based out of RI and takes on MA cases as well, $140k with commission by the time I left
Wow yes you are overworked and underpaid. Kind of shocked they aren't giving you some sort of commission on those other cases. What state are you in? Even in a state with a lower cost of living I woudl say you are underpaid.
