My friend and I had a discussion the other day about how many departments in the US still issue shotguns while there is a cheap and efficient alternative based on the AR platform. My guess was that back in the day all a patrolman had was a .38 revolver, so the 12 gauge was the only available long-barrel option. Probably today it's less useful. I am aware of certain specific uses of a 12 gauge, like door breaching or bean bag rounds. Besides that, do any deptartments that you know still issue shotguns? Would you personally carry one instead of an AR?

I got an offer from infosys for 5.5lpa+75k bonus, & now I have another offer of 7.5k+80k from globallogic. I prefer to join infosys as it is in my home town.
But the catch here is I accepted the offer from infosys, can i talk to HR again to revise my offer as I am expecting at least 6.5lpa. I am afraid if they revoke my current offer also. Yoe:1.5y / cctc:3.85lpa
