Keep it and count your blessings. Last thing you want is to be on the bench for December/January.
PWC-that's wrong for Accenture. You're judged on a lot more
I would suck it up and stay, especially if we get in a situation like last year...
We laid off people because we weren't selling work in the new year. Things didn't pick back up until April really
PWC, what I really love about Accenture is that we don't look at utilization blindly and as a hard metric.
So cute. The only way you should roll off would be if you had a role ready for you to move to that your current project, prospective project, and DTE resource lead support.
If you want to look for a new job in the new year...
I would just suck it up-December and January are both super short months with Christmas/New Years plopped in the middle. It would likely be very difficult for them to train someone up to cover that time frame
Assuming you're a analyst/consultant or Sr consultant the only measurement you're graded on is utilization. Charge or perish. Unless you have some really specialized skill, which sounds like you don't.
A2 is right. December/Jan is the worst time to hit the bench. What's 2 more minths
But that's not totally untypical of any non specialized vertical. Your leadership is always going to ask, what have you done for Me. Not for the company. If you don't think utilization is a scrutinized metric your abashedly misinformed. The only metric, no. But particularly at junior levels with limited / less skill certainly.
@CyberArchitect Not a single person said utilization isn't a scrutinized metric. You're the one who said it's the ONLY metric. Instead of admitting you were wrong, you're trying to change the facts.
Yes but for reasons that are appropriate. Like you want to be placed in a role that is more to your career goals, you wish to travel less cause of family needs etc.
What if it's not even in my DTE? mc vs. tech
What happened last year
Well that's terrifying
Just found out this morning it'll be three....... 2/28 now 🤗
Ahh beerwarior, instead we judge people on how well they can prove their worth to their group - so when your first two years are filled with projects non group related because your particular pillar has almost no work you're fucked. Go Accenture!
