I agree with executive director. Depends if u want to be clinical or administrative. I have experience in medical assisting & office work. In the beginning, I wanted to be clinical & hands on but after being a waitress for 7 years, I got tired of working directly with people.
I now work at a health plan that's part of the hospital, but in an office processing prior authorizations. I work with a team of nurses & social workers. No clinical stuff, just all paper work behind a computer & I LOVE it!
Awesome thing is, I'm still in the medical field! Got my degree in healthcare administration.
Okay thank you so much.
Depends on which way you want to go. Do you like office type administrative work or you do like the hands on patient care type work?
Healthcare is a great industry for career growth as there is sooo so so so many different ways you can go!
Honestly, I love administrative office work, but I also love hands on work. I think I would be one of the ones if needed to go on the floor I would depending on who's working.
Do you have any interest in going to nursing school? Because honestly that is your best bet. That is where the money is and nurses are in such demand that you can almost go to school for free. Everyone I know says that a nursing degree is the next thing that you should pursue if you have any interest. \
