I had my first technical round of interview as Sr. Android developer with Tech Mahindra and It went well. How long does it take to know about the result. Also how many rounds are there? The interviewer refused to say his name nor he appeared on video in the interview. Is that the company policy? Tech Mahindra

Apply to MBB. If that's not going to work, get into an MBB target school for an MBA then apply to MBB. If that's not going to work, join the military and get a flashy MOS, leave, then apply to MBB. Can't think of any other ways people I know have gotten there.

Option 2 is the easiest if you can get into a target MBA
Not really an advice, but maybe figure out why exactly you want to get into MBB other than their names, because you said get “certified” making it sounded like you’re only looking for approval, and Deloitte isn’t good enough. I used to want to get into IBs with the same mindset, but then turned it down when the opportunities actually shown up at the doorstep because I learned that it’s not something I really wanted. I chose to exit to PE instead.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m glad you found something you really wanted to do! I’m shooting for MBB because 1) I think I can learn/practice my consulting skills from people who are amazing at it and 2) the MBB name recognition will help me be considered for future roles that I find interesting. It’s not about approval exactly but more that recruiters are looking for people with MBB experience for most of the future roles I’d be interested in. So I’m trying to become qualified for work I want to do. I honestly enjoy the real consulting work I’ve done vs. the work that people randomly put on SOWs (examples I’ve experienced: maintaining an access database and writing SOPs). I would love to have a career doing true consultative work and believe that MBB is the best way to get there.

Most MBB work is not strategy .
Sorry BCG1, I laid it out more clearly as 2 objectives in another comment. This is super helpful. Thank you for sharing!!

Make sure your casing is up to par. Case lots with live partners and make sure you get good feedback and that you action on it. A referral will help coming from industry.

Do a top MBA. Most straightforward way to get in
Incredibly weird mindset imo…what is a true strategy consulting skill set?
Check out CraftingCases. Their curriculum lays it out well. Some examples of skills include structuring problems, making estimations, and quantitative skills. It’s pretty cool I think - I’m enjoying just going through their course. But I can be a bit of a nerd sometimes lol 🤓
