My interview at Barclays was on 22nd July (coming up for 8 weeks ago now!) and I still haven’t received any feedback regarding my interview. Due to the length of time it’s taken to hear back, I’ve just assumed I’ve not got the job and have started applying for other roles elsewhere. I’ve been told on 2 separate occasions that the hiring team will be in touch within 2 working days but I’ve still received nothing.

I am a 3rd year senior associate in alternative investment tax and up for manager promotion this year. I really dislike the long hours of this job and seeking to make a move. Although I’m not sure i necessarily want to stay in tax. I have a young toddler at home and want to find a job i like, makes decent money, and has decent hours so i can spend more time with family.

I got my offer last year to join in Sept this year. Recently, I was made aware by people in the firm that there is an increase in salary across the board including my role. Some people joining the same role have received a new offer letters, but I didn't. How should I write to the recruiter to ask? (it's a significant increase of ~20% 🥺)

Looking for opinions. I’m an IW with 2 yrs experience working from home at a Fortune 500 company w/ excellent benefits, target salary 75k. I was previously offered a job at another company where the 75k salary was guaranteed for the first year. Most people make much more than this once their comp fully ramps up, but, I would have to work in the office. I declined the offer, but now the CEO wants to meet with me several months later. Would I be crazy if I asked for 100k guaranteed salary?

Is now a good or bad time to move? I’m a financial analyst with 5 YOE (3 in manufacturing, 2 in Saas). I’ve been asking for promotion for almost a year now in my current company. Finally, my new manager and all the leaders on the team are supportive of my promotion. However, he said due to budget issue, my promotion probably won’t go thru during this cycle (August), but they will make sure it go thru in Feb ’23. Hi all, I have a question regarding retirement accounts. I am not sure if I should choose a Roth or 401k (company has 4+2% match). Currently 23, base salary is ~100k and investments have brought 45k this year which has me teetering between a 22-24% tax bracket. Wondering what the usual tax bracket is of people retired (around 65yo) as I’m not sure anything would bring in significant income with the exception of investments. In my case would a Roth make sense? Appreciate any answers!!
