My investigator and I met with an opposing party’s potential witness over Zoom and recorded the meeting. We recorded the conversation so we could use AI to transcribe the notes. We expected this to be attorney work product, so we didn’t put the person under oath. Opposing counsel is requesting a copy of the recording. At first, I was pretty sure that the recording would be attorney work product and that I could refuse the request, but now I’m feeling unsure. Has anyone experienced this before?

Hello, I’m an LMSW in Michigan. I have 15 years of experience in the field as a clinician, supervisor, and an administrator. I am feeling burnt out and unsure of my future. I have worked mainly in the Community Mental Health and the VA Health systems, hence my fatigue. Sooo my nanny fell asleep holding the baby. My husband and I work from home. So, he walked in, saw them and put the baby in the crib.

M&A/PE associate (trying to juggle multiple deals) feeling like I don’t have time to dive deeper into issues and it being highlighted in some of my work product as I am having to turn things right away and just pushing things out - so issues I may have caught if I had a better/deeper/higher level understanding are more apparent when partners review.
