Your colleagues just got laid off in a job market where a lot of folks are struggling to get interviews amidst mass ghost job postings. If I were you I'd stick to this job and see how it shakes out a bit longer. You should have weekly meetings with the teammates who were not let go and see what the general consensus is. Worst case scenario look for another job while you're sifting through the change.
Yeah I agree , I would however look at the whole scenario the company is in and evaluate the possibility of them letting more people go and/or outsourcing at a cheaper rate than paying full time employees. Not that that’s even on the table with your company , but it’s happening alot . I would definitely make sure to had something secured before leaving
Use this job as a paycheck while you seek another employer. What was done to your ex-colleagues will be done to you, eventually. Find a lifeboat ASAP and jump ship before the execs make you walk the plank.
Foodservice?
Yes.
hmmm seems to me that you might have to consider is the job really worth it? I may be new to this sales thing but the freedom for me to work my own hours is a bonus. I would rather bust my ass for myself selling insurance than becoming a victim to someone else system. I can always use a teammate with me. I mean i provide financial freedom, and you can build a nice income. Im sure you can compensate what you are making now with your time. I say move on and slave for yourself. if you are going to be frustrated over a job, might as well be your own. But thats just my opinion.
