My nanny of two months just gave notice because she’s moving further away to live with family. I know she didn’t plan for it but I can’t help but feel sad that my LO has to get to know someone new again and that I have to go through the vetting process again. Makes me want to be a SAHM 😞

That’s a bummer for you because it’s extra work to go through the process again so soon, but your little one’s going to be absolutely fine! There are a lot of good nannies out there and this is a good time to find one over the summer. Good luck

Thank you D1!

Exactly why I do daycare. That sounds so exhausting, the vetting. I totally agree your LO will do fine though!

I’ve done both and there are pros and cons! I think OP just wants a little support. It’s really draining to deal with a nanny leaving - not only the logistics of vetting a new one, but emotionally it’s really hard when your baby gets attached! Logically we know they’ll do fine but when you’re going through it it’s really hard once you’ve witnessed the attachment bonds.

startup Gig Alert: I am looking for a brand designer to join our startup team at Lifelines (truly a startup and we’re not in stores yet). We’re a product company set for revolutionizing how people approach sensorial wellness and I’m looking for someone with holistic experience in branding / art direction with a clear, bold visual style. Around 5 years of experience preferred. But work and personality trump years in experience. Always remote+unlimited PTO. Send me books / portfolios.

Damon as a character vs. Jamie Lannister? They seem like somewhat analogous characters from the two shows. I feel like a lot of people want Damon to have a similar redemptive arc, but it doesn’t seem likely.

My thoughts are he’s just a generally bad person with some decent qualities. Jamie meanwhile was a generally good person who did many terrible things, especially when we met him.

Currently working at Perforce Software in Minneapolis as a writer making 70k. Was offered a job to be a writer at Amazon Alexa for 95k plus 11k sign on and shares.

Here’s the catch: the job was listed as fully remote but now they’re asking if I’d want to move out on the West Coast…not a requirement but they really sound like that’s their ideal.

My husband will be relocating to NYC for his job which is where I want to go…working West Coast hours in NYC sounds kind of awful. BUT I really don’t
