My pipeline looks fine on paper, but my forecast feels like a ghost town. A lot of “strong interest,” very little actual movement. Leadership wants confidence, and I’m over here trying to separate real signals from polite interest. Does anyone have a way to reality-check deals without sounding like you’re interrogating the buyer? I keep thinking I’m missing one key question early on. Or maybe this is just what February feels like.

Some questions that you can ask to gain clarity as to a buyers interest are:
Is there anything preventing you from moving forward with this (list product/service)
What is your decision-making timeframe look like to move forward for this (product/service)
Ask if what was proposed meets their needs
Ask if there are any concerns that you have not yet addressed

Hopefully this short list will give you some answers
