My significant other works for Booz Allen and is preparing for a team outing. It was suggested, that the team leaders pick a gift to present to the staff during the outing. The gifts were branded items from the BAH company store. The total price per person was a little over $30 to include tax and shipping. Today they were told that since this was not a company sponsored event, the group would have to split the cost among the leaders to pay for the gifts. I think this is tacky. Thoughts?
