My supervisor was telling me that she was going to put in a word for me for promotion but come to find out today, they are promoting two others. One has not been here not even 6 months in Litigation. My supervisor excuse was she use to be a supervisor in pre litigation. Now I’m tempted to look other places and it sucks. I do not want to keep job hoping. This is Litigation for Plaintiff. There are some defense litigation positions available. Should I apply? How is Defense Litigation? Is it worth

Yes, do it. Everyone I've had contact with on the defense side who was previously on the plaintiff's side said they liked the defense side better because they did not have to deal with the plaintiffs. The only downside to going defense is billing. You will get used to that.

Ok. Let’s see. If it’s in Gods will, they will reach out to me. I am so tired of being passed and looked over. Especially when I work so hard and I’ve practically became the supervisor “personal assistant “

Do it, apply. I've worked at places where my promised promotion was constantly pushed aside, and it's exhausting. Good luck with the application, I hope you hear back from them quickly.

Hello, I have a final panel interview coming up for a Strategic Product Consultant role at Procore (Construction SaaS). It’ll be 3 separate interviews, 30 minute each with a Team Lead, a Senior Consultant, and a Customer Success Manager.

I’ve already completed 2 interviews; 1 screening interview with a recruiter and 1 with a hiring manager.

I’m currently a PM for a General Contractor looking to pivot into tech.

Looking for advice to prepare for these final rounds of interview. Thanks!

Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. My position title is changing soon but I’m wondering how helpful that would be for wanting to go into PM work at a tech company. Anyone have any career pivot advice? (Also I’m only 1.5yrs old in my career so I’m definitely still new, and I have previous experience as a project assistant).

I’ve been a paralegal for about 30 years in private law firmS. As I get older, I feel like it’s time for a semi-career change. Either an office manager position or perhaps a corporate position where I can travel a little since my kids are grown and I’m an empty-nester. Has anyone made this type of transition? Advise welcome. TIA

Hi everyone. Is it typical for the attorney to take credit for the work a paralegal does? An example: I gave some ideas about deposition questions and some observations I made (I was asked about giving suggestions) regarding a witness and the attorney mentioned that he’s the one that had these great questions/observations. Zero credit or thank you for the work I did.

For those of you who made the switch to in house/corporate law, what was your experience like? Did you have to take a lower position to gain the experience or were you able to argue that your soft skills were transferable to in house?
