Yes but appreciate the flexibility to work from home occasionally. Office layouts are a huge challenge-not enough space overall (100+ waitlist for an open desk is horrendous) and more enclosed spaces needed for the number of zoom calls people are on these days.
All partners everywhere lol
Strong disagree. Office vs remote very much comes down to personal traits. For me personally, I am a significantly better employee and happier person when I'm remote. I strongly believe that as adults, we are capable of deciding the way we work best and should be able to make that call for ourselves.
Most days I'd just as soon still be working remotely, but I do admit there are advantages to being in the office. I've learned a lot over time by being around people, and during the time I was working remotely there was simply no way to replicate that. You can't learn by osmosis if you're connecting now and then over Zoom, that's just the way it is. Having said that, I don't like that I was fighting off a cold all winter and I felt like it just kept being passed around the office. So I still have some distinct WFH hermit instincts.
I struggled to work from home full time, but I was given the option to do both, so I go in 3 days and wfh 2.
Yes 💯
I don’t think liking being in the office is an unpopular opinion. I think unnecessarily forcing people to be in the office is.
I'm with you. I think some of us just thrive in an office environment. It’s easier to ask quick questions, get feedback, and I like getting out of the house.
I enjoy the office every once in a while but it isn’t helping me concentrate. I go to the office for “team building” aka socializing.
I enjoy it only because I'm in NYC and like the environment. Not sure why anyone young and single who lives 15-30 min from office would rather be cooped up at home all week instead of going into the office at least 2x a week.
Yes!!! Totally agree. Although I like having ability to work remote on occasion as needed.
The “it’s quick to ask questions” comments are the reason I don’t enjoy the office. I’m able to get work done at a manageable rate versus being interrupted with “got a quick second”. It’s not hard to put a calendar invite to ask your questions.
I prefer working from home but going back into the office a couple times a week hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be to be honest. I understand why some people prefer the office. I'm not a fan of RTO mandates though.
Yes, we need more staffs that’s willing to go to the office. Please tell your staff friends as well…. If I’m not going, I want to make sure someone is going to on behalf of me.
i do- plus productivity is so much better across the board when people are in the office
