My wife and I have ~$850k net worth on track to hit $1M by the end of ‘26. We’re both 31 now and started with $0 / negative net worths 10 years ago when we graduated college. Curious to know how we’re doing in the grand scheme of things. Are we behind or on track?

You’re doing alright, maybe a bit behind. My wife and I crossed $850k right around our 11th birthdays when we purchased our second home. Just grind for a little longer and you’ll catch up.

22, nw 6.7m, you’re way behind

You're doing exceptionally well lol. That is legitimately probably top-1%, 2% at worst, at your age.

All that experience and education and you still think you are behind as a young 30s.

Get out in the real world a little bit buddy…..

Have you been out into the world lately? Or watch the news? Not sure we live in a “real” world anymore. Feels more like a simulation.

Guys, stop comparing yourself to others, this is pointless. I left corporate to start my business and it brings 8 figures per year. Everything is relative, I would suggest leaving the corporate world altogether. The world is much bigger outside of the 9-5. Bet on yourself. Cheers

We are in a similar boat. I'm 32 and my wife is 29 and we are about $1.1m total right now (no home).

Nice! The rental income is probably huge for getting more cash flows too. That will certainly help.

What are your salaries and careers? Curious for both?

What is your salary cs her salary

Wow this makes me feel great. I seriously thought given all the posts I hear about people’s incomes on fish bowl that we were a bit behind. Someone just claimed to make $650k total comp this year an in nowhere near that.

Similar boat at 35 and 36

Don’t own a home and have one kid

Got to a modeling round for a PE Firm and it’s later today. Really like the people but not a big fan of the investment strategy. Wondering if withdrawing from the process right now would hurt my relationship with the HH’s?

I’m working with them for a few firms I’m way more interested in but aren’t kicking off for the next week or two. Should I just do the model test and withdraw, or would beforehand work as well? Any insight would be helpful

On the topic of intimacy with partners… I’ve been with my boyfriend for 2 years and the past year his libido has dropped to zero. Mostly due to work stress (he says). Whenever I try to initiate, he always shuts me down and says he’s not in the mood. I even touch him and he gets hard but stops me as soon as I try to unzip him. We went from once a week to maybe once a quarter.

I’ve talked to him about it and he says I should take care of myself. So frustrated. 😭😭

Interviewed for 5.5 hours today at a boutique IB today. Base comp is a slight bump. 14 mos in FDD @ PwC who will make senior this CRT - love the role but want to see more of the transaction besides TBs and TB detail. Comp isn’t a huge bump but the IB seems to have a good culture. 20 people. I really am struggling. I worried about FDD golden handcuffs with limited exit ops. Please advise!!! How should I navigate this and assess it from an unbiased perspective. Thx!
