Recently got a role at GCP as TAM (comp is pending) but I also got into bschool ; I was hoping to use bschool to transition into product management but I’m not conflicted as I got into my dream company. I see 3 options: 1, join GCP as TAM and forget about bschool 2, join the role but quit in several months to join bschool or 3, join google and hope bschool gives me a deferral. What would you do? It's really commendable that EPAM has selected such a candidate. 34 LPA ask is really a very big package to ask for, a lot has changed in 2.6 years
That's what I like about this forum. With 10 YOE I am Full stack with Angular and Java and stuck at 27lpa.
Just too lazy to change jobs because mine is WFH and I just work 2-3 hours a day.
After reading this I think I should start exploring.
8 years with node and react and 34lpa is amazing.
HR team might look for another candidate. Ask her to try for another organisation.
Why 8 years exp person should be paid 30+ lpa are you minting gold ? You should only get 24 lpa as per market not anything more

I don't know how to ask for a bigger pay like 30+. I have 9 years experience and am still getting 18LPA only. HRs are not convinced to give me 24LPA atleast. Can someone help me get a higher package? Please don't take it otherwise, Seriously asking.
No one know how to talk to hr
For you to talk you should have offer in hand only then you have confidence and option so you don't care even if they say no
Like you have 18 lpa get an offer of 24 or 22
Then when next company comes in bluntly say i am looking for 30 they will low ball you you have 22 why so much gap and all everything then you can start yohr conversation
Ask her to try somewhere . Don't need to stuck with one
Maternity leave k bad job main back karna is tough, epam is good if they have done the interview if they are satisfied with the interview performance they will give the ctc
There is no point in Waiting...but there are other organisations that can match this salary or even more..
One suggestion apart from the current circumstances:
I don't know the background..but let your wife face the world!! She could have the account and post the same and give her a chance to explore ?

They would have given the senior software Engineer role instead of lead based on the interview performance not because of the maternity break.
Senior engineer role doesn't have a pay bracket of 30+LPA. So they can't offer it!
You have to get in to lead role to expect 30+LPA package
Maybe they want to still go for lesser package.
There process is slow.
They may stop communicating with you once they learn about your salary expectations. Consider applying to another company.
