My base loc is Bengaluru, but currently I am not mandatorily required to work from office, and have been working from home since I joined Deloitte in July. Should I talk to my manager and go back to my hometown Kolkata and work from there? Staying in PG all day and working from here is not quite feasible for me. Suggest pls. Deloitte India

Joined earlier this year. Have gained weight, work for 15 hours on weekdays on an average, 8-10 hours on all weekends and Public Holidays. Partner is abusive as hell. Wouldn't recommend anyone joining DI.

Deloitte India has the most pathetic work culture. All my friends have quit even a few months of joining!
See, I have joined Deloitte India 6 months back as an Analyst in Consulting. My experience has been amazing so far. The projects are good and you will definitely get to learn a lot. The seniors here emphasize a lot on learning and overall development of your own professionally.
I think and this is my own personal opinion ( no intention to hurt others ), if you're young and have no additional responsibilities, working for an extra hour or 2 won't do any harm.
My AD and the delivery pool both are amazing.
On the learning part, you will have to complete 40 hours of learning( in a year ) as a compliance apart from the project deliverables, so that is definitely a plus point.
Different people will have different opinions, choose what is best for you.

Study company you will ever work.. HCl infy is 10000 times better.. people in AD And director roles are worst.. they will make ur life horrible.. they won't provide any technical support.. but will suck the life out of you.. force u to work 13 hrs a day, work in multiple projects at same time, won't provide fuel expense when traveling to client place, extreme micro management, pathetic work life, cruel and cunning, no support or employee welfare.. u will suffer.. join if u want to suffer

Not agreed at all. If someone wanted to learn and work then DI is good but if someone is like WITCH mindset then DI is not for them

Well ppl r giving their own opinion but no one is asking about ur service line. I joined this year in consulting bo cloud computing and i m really happy because the leadership is supporting me for my work and i m align with their worki ethics n goal but this might not be the case for others

Just one line ans: depends on your project and manager
No two partners are the same, no two projects are the same, can't make sweeping statement about the whole organization. Make sure you understand you role and expectations before you join them
Baba depends on your projects and requirements, I enjoyed my time for more than a month.
I have joined Deloitte India in October,so Monday onwards I will be working.
There people who were on bench for 8-9 months and they just say and enjoyed.
They did two three certification and nothing.
