Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.
My wife has her joining date extended from Randstad and no joining date has been provided. What are the chances of her offer getting revoked. She has around 1 year of experience in HR. She got to know about this just on the last day of her notice period. She doesnt have any other offer as she didnt expect the joining date to get extended. Randstad. If anyone is open for hiring, please let me know. I can share it with her. Morningstar Tata Consultancy Accenture JPMorgan Chase Wells Fargo Infosys

People who never make mistakes don’t know how to get up, dust themselves off and try again with the grace and grit of someone who has reached for the stars, fallen, and kept reaching for them again.
It is normal to make mistakes. You learn from those and become a better employee. Look around you - is anyone perfect?
It’s true that failure is the biggest teacher. If you don’t fail, it means you never moved out of your comfort zone, and you’ll never grow if you don’t try anything new.
In terms of the mistakes you’ve made, sometimes a bit of perspective is needed. Are they small mistakes that only you are noticing? Sometimes when you’re used to overachieving, any small mistake can feel like a major one.
On the flip side, are they serious mistakes that would indicate you need further training/support/assistance in your role? Being overburdened can easily lead to mistakes, as you’re unable to put your focus on any one thing - doesn’t mean you’re not good at those things, just that you need more resources so you can allocate the time you really need where you need it.
I had a challenging moment yesterday and felt terrible. It was humbling but also a learning experience. Now is the time to show true grit and endure. You can do it!
Thank you, everyone!!
