Does IBM have good onsite opportunities?
Hi Everybody,
I'm currently working as an outsource in Rapid Metro as Technical Assistant/Civil. I earned a Master degree in Water Resource Engineer after B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Due to Covid 19 I took job back in Civil sector even though I have a masters degree in WRE. It's been almost 6 months of constant applying and rejection and still I'm nowhere close to a job in my dream branch which is the Water sector.Im hopeful that through this portal I may find an entry level position in water

I carve walking sticks. Low cost and easy to do. Pick up a nice stick while on one of your outdoor adventures, use a knife and some other tools to strip off the bark and branches and finish it.
When you're done get some Paracord and wrap a nice handle on it.
Here's one I made out of cedar. It about 5-6 ft long and about 1.25-1.5" thick. I called it Beaker.
This is really cool and unique!!

Curious why you don’t think pottery is a hobby; I’d say any form of art can be a hobby
I’m sure it’s super cold right now, but you both can try training for a half marathon for fun, lots of cool apps that let you do so (I think Nike run club or Nike training club does this) and let’s you train for ~4-10 weeks depending on what you pick, 0 cost to it
You could both get into woodwork or fixing up old furniture, one of my friends recently has been doing this and is loving it
Cooking new cuisines is always a great hobby (prob more of a life skill)! Try cooking Thai, Indian, etc. cuisines that you may normally never attempt on your own!
You both can do your own book club where you pick a book you both agree to read, and just recap what you liked and didn’t like every week on it based on a set # of chapters a week (or just at the end of the month) - get the books from the library to cut down any costs associated with it
Learn instruments together! I learned the keyboard from a book, friend learned guitar from YouTube, just put in the effort and you’ll be good
Or learn a new language! Try to learn a few new phrases every week, and practice it
Just my ideas of low/no-cost hobbies
We did pottery pre Covid and haven’t gone back since, and quite enjoyed it
Golf is the best hobby. I think of it like bowling - you don’t have to be great at it to have fun! But you can take lessons to get better if you want to.
Unfortunately I have a competitive spirit that doesn’t allow me to just have fun

Why pick one? My spouse and I have each mastered a few hobbies over the years, sometimes together and often we enjoy the hobby as a way to have some alone time.
