Should I get a CPA for Transaction Due Diligence?
I’m a new grad working in FDD and I’m trying to decide if becoming a CPA is worth it. I do not plan on staying in accounting in the future. I’m more interested in strategy work. I certainly do not want to do Audit. Would you recommend getting the CPA considering my career aspirations? Do you think it’s worth it? If not, what is the best way to use my time efficiently?

How do I get a job as a Mechanical Engineer if I dont have experience?

I couldn’t get an internship while in school. I have a BS in ME and projects from school under my belt. I’ve also passed the FE exam. I’ve been mostly just doing CAD for a company for the last year by creating minimally dimensioned drawings and moving parts around in assemblies. I want to evolve in my career and be doing more. I worked so hard to earn my degree and I feel like I’m not even using it. But who will hire me?

Considering taking a position with a small-cap in the US trying to build their legal department. The title is standard “counsel” although the work would be with the senior leadership team and reporting to the GC in Europe. How reasonable is it to ask for a bump in title - Senior counsel or Head of Legal, US? I don't follow pop. culture anymore, no longer actively follow team sports (but sporty myself) as I consider it bread and circus for the masses and don't rly enjoy work drinks... Am I doomed? Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?

Going thru the hiring process with PwC. This sickens me of PwC people who are unresponsive despite multiple attempts to reach out (email, voice mail, internal employee reached out on my behalf)
