Larsen & Toubro Infotech Is it good time to join Cognizant now for Coimbatore location considering too much attrition in recent times along with many policy changes and do they have enough projects or will there be any chance of layoffs if we don't find any projects for our skill(Tableau in my case)? I have another offer with LTI, Coimbatore for same salary but i prefer CTS more than LNT. Cognizant Larsen & Toubro Infotech
Need to quit my firm. Who’s got local projects?

Of course, no one wants to stay long-term anymore. No benefit for them to do so. You’ll do much better for your career and salary to move on. How do you avoid getting too comfortable, though? Consistency is sometimes worth not making the move even when it’s in your best interest.
The skills compounding is a really great point. When you jump companies, you are marketing yourself and are able to get that bump. Staying put means you aren’t getting that same chance.
You'd think companies would want to keep good employees considering the average cost of on boarding a new employee is around 10k.
You can easily judge a company just by their turn over. High turn over states the obvious. They don't care at all about their employees.
my last "raise" was less than a dollar but they try to make it look like more with stocks but the trick is that they don't vest for sometimes 6m to a year. its a joke
yeah that honestly is just really insulting and then to try and trick you into thinking youre getting more with the stocks is just terrible
My goal in 2016-17 which I’ve achieved as of 2023 was to get into a company with strong product portfolio, good stock value that grants RSUs (reloaded yearly at least) with 200kish base. With 3-4% raise and hitting more than 100% of my bonus YoY. I’m in a happy place 😊. In otherwords, create a what you are looking for list in an employer… took me about 6-8 years to get there. Plan, Network, Execute.. repeat 🔁
Lots of market research, Networking (investing in myself) at conferences, and faith in the work I put in & maybe a bit of luck 😊

The best way to make more money is to
Job hop every 2 years or so.
These days, being a loyal, hardworking employee doesn't mean a thing unfortunately. Times have certainly changed.
Companies don’t want to give raises. Instead they want to bloat up on lower end supervisors who constantly ride the true revenue earners to do more more to compensate for lower quality revenue generating personnel.
Annual raises?! I don't even remember what the word raise meant anymore! I have not gotten a raise in 3 years.
