Pothos would be my recommendation.
I’ve found pothos to be kind of hit or miss and very location dependent. We have a side room w/indirect light that they loveeeeeeeee. They hate my office with seemingly the same indirect light. We’ve also had newer plants just inexplicably start dying back when the ones next to it are thriving. Made me wonder if my wife and I just thought we had brown thumbs because every pothos we had bought when younger was just doomed to begin with.
Great plant, we have like 7 now, and a good starter but if it goes sideways it doesn’t necessarily mean you did bad.
I don’t know what this is called but I have done literally nothing with it in 20 years and it still looks the same. Admittedly it probably needs to be dusted.
Sir, I’m going to have to ask you to leave
Very welcoming group in here!
Some of us started this very same way.
Agreed with the zz plant, adding ponytail palm and peace Lily plant. Those were my first three and all are still alive and well.

Snake plant is pretty easy to keep alive
Indoors a zizi thrives on not getting any attention at all
Outside we need some info on where in the world, where it would go, pot/ground, flower/green/fruit/veggies
