Hi All,
I have joined cognizant yesterday. I came to know that office location is bantala in Kolkata. I do not want to work in bantala location. I have talked with my recruiter. But hs said offer location is decided on project allocation. How can I change the location to other location? If I leave the job will it be any problem?

Very difficult unless you have a high up internal referral. Focus resume on quant experiences and pray
I assume you are asking as a current college student (the EY title makes it confusing).
As a college student, probably pretty hard but not impossible. Our recruiters do check our online portal. You’ll just need excellent skills or a good rec.
If you are coming over from EY, then you’ll need either a specific in demand skill set or (again) a good rec. I do believe we still have a pause on our external hiring, however.
Thanks. I forgot to follow up but I didn’t get selected for an interview despite getting a partner referral. And yes, I am coming out of undergrad. To clarify any doubts, I got pulled for two out of three MBB interviews so my resume is definitely strong. I just don’t understand why I didn’t get an interview despite getting a referral from the partner. It’s no use to ask this now but out of curiosity, do they actually have to go into the system portal to refer me? The partner I spoke to just reached out to the recruiting team and I assumed that it would be enough

Not OW, but I imagine it might be similar there: For us, the only target business schools are Booth, Columbia, Kellogg, and Wharton. However that just means we only heavily invest in recruiting at these schools, doesn’t mean that everyone else can’t get an interview. We still hire from all the top programs.

Not really sure how undergrad recruiting is done; but I think if your school is a MBB target it probably has a decent enough brand. See if there’s any alums you can talk to
I had to network my butt off just to get the pre-interview assessment (survey about what you would do in situations)
