Oliver Wyman fishes, I have 1 YOE at Deloitte but not officially in their consulting practice, but working with a strategy consulting team there. If there are no ‘Consultant’ level openings on the career page right now, is there anything I can realistically apply for? Does Senior Consultant make any sense?

CIS at OW is pretty good, but to be quite honest, you can switch practices once you get in the door.
Choose not the brand (arguably the same) but the people that you like the most during interviews and networking. When I’m on a 65+ hour burner project, the team and Partner makes SOOO much difference.
Are you at OW currently?
Transactions here is mostly implementation and PMO, so I'd go OW in a heartbeat
If it is in Financial Services, I’d go with OW.

The real question is if you wanna do back to back DDs or a mix of ops and strategy work. EYP transactions is 80% DDs. OW AMI is a mix of ops and strategy unless you are affiliated with Private Capital (which sounds like you won’t be)
Looking at the power and utilities group. Is their work mostly cdd?
What do you want to do in the long term?
Still torn on if I want to pursue partner. Ideally whichever firm offers a solid track to partner while also providing a solid network should i exit

I got offers at both places earlier this year. EYP people were way way cooler, for what it’s worth. Money was approx same. EYPs new bonuses make it competitive again

EYP verbal offer came the next day. OW was like 3 days for verbal
Depends on practice

Are the $$ offers going to be close?
They both are in the same building and floor bank, so that is a plus. EY sits higher, if that makes a difference 😂
