On an internal consulting team at major PE firm - team is mostly ex-MBB. I joined as an analyst in a hybrid role that involves some consulting and some portco operations/internal operations work.

I think I want/need to make the move to MBB to be able to progress more quickly and be able to focus 100% on consulting. I think the move only makes sense to MBB and not to tier 2 firms.

Any thoughts on the above?

Also any insight on experienced hire recruiting at MBB?

Hi, just wondering how the staffing situation has been in strategy consulting in general? My sibling started a job in strategy in Silicon Valley 2 months ago after MBA.
