Once you’re a “successful” advisor(you define what that means for you) or established a lifestyle practice. What does the day look like for you? If you’re working close to 20 hours a week. What does that work actually look like? Hard to imagine clients needing something almost everyday. Anybody who has established their practice, would love to hear!

It depends on the week, but 40 is not unusual, and 20 would mean I was sick or taking days off for family. I have heard that there are advisors who don't work as much, but I am guessing they are working with fewer and higher $ clients. I work mostly middle class so I have roughly 800 clients. I spend a LOT of time doing reviews - probably 50-60% of my time anyway. Planning, applications, investments etc. take a good amount. After that is prospecting. I am at the point where I need to add more staff so I can do more prospecting and less maintenance.

Ahhh around 40 hours is not bad at all basically 9-5. And it makes sense with that many clients that you’ll have something to do every week/day. When do you plan to stop prospecting?

like

I'm about 17-20 years from retirement, but my wife will likely be done in 7, so I'll probably stop prospecting then.
