Is it advisable for a person working in networking domain (YOE - 7.5) to move to information security?

Does claims ever make anyone else want to quit ID law? (Or heck maybe even plaintiffs side??)

I’m an Environmental Protection Specialist and make pretty good money for what I do. I just feel like I have more to offer than being a worker bee in a system at 25. I work with a lot of retirees and would love to return in my latter professional years. I have my Bachelors in Applied Coastal Environmental Science and want to expand my options. Any suggestions that won’t require me taking a crazy pay cut? I’m pretty much open to anything.

Would you go from a corp dev and strategy role in industry into MBB? Why or why not?

My brother was at a Tier2 before his current role. He wants to pursue MBB to get the brand and because he thinks his growth is slowing, both in compensation and opportunity relative to consulting.

Pay will be about the same assuming he gets a post MBA role. He has better hours now. Management likes him.

I don't think it makes sense but he won't listen to me. Help me convince/tell me I'm wrong please?

I joined Mindtree on 8th Feb and not got project and I was waiting for last 2 and half month. So, i gave interview outside (tech mahindra) and got selected. Almost 30-35% they said they will give and i am negotiating on it.

My main concern was shift and i have some health issues and unable to continue in night shift in Mindtree and tech mahindra its purely EMEA shift and per project team update.

Shall i switch to tech Mahindra?

Has anyone made the jump from a healthcare payer to a B4 or MBB firm? If so, any advice?

I140 got approved and waiting to get H1b extended for another 3 years. Current H1b visa expires in Sept. Do I have to wait until extension processed and approved before leaving for another job?

My husband has been a restaurant manager for over 10 years (GM for 5). He worked at one place for 8 years and another for 5 (wasn’t a manager at first at the other place) - so he’s consistent and dependable. When i got into cyber security i was extremely enthusiastic about it. I was fascinated by how a simple string on hexadecimal values can give you remote access to any machine, so i learned many things like exploits development, reverse engineering and malware analysis. During my tenure of 6 years i used IDA just once.

In my opinion Indian cyber security, especially SOC is just like another job, we don't have a creative culture in cybersec domain. That's heart breaking.....
