I feel like 5 years of experience wants one page?
Chief
Under 10 years, 1 page.
Over 10 years, 2 pages.
Unless you had 5+ jobs in those 7 years...
Remove introduction, certifications go on one line, nonprofit board goes on one line, degrees are ~4 lines each, 4 jobs are ~6 lines each. Done.
One page is fine

You have the wrong target audience for your question. Ask this question to industry hiring managers and recruiters. Perspectives differ.
I personally think 2 pages are good but the content needs to change to suit the role.
Readability is important - when I was in industry, I’d see a lot of resumes cramming content into the available space. I know most company use ATS to screen resumes but if it’s directly going to your client hiring manager, it needs to address their role requirements very clearly.
Almost 20 years of experience and my resume is 1 page.
I am just under 10 years and got it to one page. Big thanks to my AI tool to help summarize, synthesize, rephrase, and tailor to the role!
ChatGPT type tools, I engage with it to update specific bullets, tailor the tone based on job listings at specific websites, etc. its iterative and won’t do it all in one pass
I have 7YOE and my resume is one page.
I have 15 years and 2 pages
My total experience is 7 years.
everyone saying 1 page but i had more success moving to 2 pages after 5YOE
10 years of experience should fit on one page is the rule I always heard

It’s more important to include your relevant experience on your resume than to force it onto one page by cutting key information. Keep it concise, yes—but not at the expense of context that shows how you got to where you are.
Personally, I review the full resume. If you’re applying for a director-level role, the hiring team will likely want to see the progression that led you there. Your resume should tell your story. Many candidates save that story for the interview—but if it’s not on your resume, you may not get the interview in the first place.
