I’m my partners only associate and I went on parental leave two weeks ago. I feel horrible for leaving him to handle our cases alone, but am trying to focus on my wife and new baby. That being said, should I still offer to handle minor matters that come in to ease the workload off my boss? He’s been super cool during my entire leave, so I don’t feel pressured to one bit.

So here is my dilemma:
- based in the UK
- opportunity for lateral internal move (culture&engagement) or stay where I am (reward). I am mid level IC struggling to progress due to flat structure so considering lateral move then hopefully up from there.
- 2 primary aged children, currently have flexibility in current/new role too
- Husband just got accepted on a international rotation which means I will be single parent for the short term.

What to do? Go with the unknown or coast comfortably?

Hi i lost majority of my money in the stock market. I married and promised my family that I will not make the mistake I made 7 years ago. Gambling. Is this an addiction I have. I keep selling stocks and taking loses buying other stock hoping it will recover but never did and sell again taking loses and buy again. It now sink in to me. I borrow personal loan hoping that the market will do k and I pay it back but I even lost that. I can't stop crying that I hurt the one I love the most my family.

I’ve got a toddler and my wife is an accountant (industry), and we only have a few immediate family in the country- but they have health concerns. I work on a consulting team at a large software company. I’m a job hopper, around 2 years each at my first and second jobs and a little over a year at this job. I recently found out they’re shutting my team down. We’re not fired, but they’re transferring us to the core implementation team, which has a horrible reputation for malignancy, overworking, and isn’t at all what I was hired to do.
