Not sure what that means. If stuff is wrong then the review comments aren’t excessive lol.
Depends. Staff we expect you to have a ton of mistakes cuz you know nothing. Senior we expect less. Manager even less. Etc. not sure there’s a specific number.
Not sure what you consider small. But I’ll bite. If it’s a single entity 1120 and I’m working with a 1st year
20-40 during the first year staff is normal to me. But a lot of them will result in a snowball from an error earlier not caught so it kept growing. But I obviously want to see growth with each return I review so less and less comments
Now if it’s an easy 1120 and a second year or a senior prepares is then I expect less than 10. 5 of which maybe just presentational and preference based. But mathematically I’d expect the return to be perfect or near perfect unless something small was missed in the calculation.
Just today I had left three separate comments on a 1040 with a W-2 and no states. People are just dumb
Dumb mistakes and carelessness I’ll write notes for. Weird or unusual ill fix myself and leave a comment noting such.
Depends on the comments. If like the FEIN and name are wrong and all the numbers are wrong then yeah that’s bad, but if it’s like 10 formatting or informational errors or checkboxes and it’s a new associate then that’s not excessive.
All the above times 10. And this person has been a tax Accountant a long time. They sold me in their interview with their capabilities, and like a fool I believed.
It depends who prepares it lol
