(Also from Norway) I honestly don’t think you’re going to get much more in Norway - I think you’re already in the top 2-3% of earners nationally
I would talk to recruiters in Shipping, oil, and commodities brokering and see if there over there for you those salaries have stayed consistently high in the market- IT firms in Norway are more and more acting as middleman and outsourcing work to Eastern Europe/ India - (my firm does this too … 5 guys in house, 15 guys in Eastern Europe)-
Hardly seen sign-on bonuses here, but happy to be challenged on this.
1.4M is very close to the point where you need to climb into leadership/management/"Head of"/VP roles.
If your Norwegian is pretty good, you may get that in the big 4 or MBB as an IC with 10+ YOE, especially if you have strong references in Norway.
