If I ask here, I’m looking for feedback, not for a tip on how to use Amazon app
Hatch baby rest sound machine and nightlight ($60 on Amazon)
Negative on that being he minimum requirement. Kids sense when you’re about to have fun and wake up.
Search white noise on Amazon..there's plenty
We've had 3 different ones (multiple kids) and They're all pretty much the same. Don't need to spend a lot. And the sound machine is for their room, not yours, so you probably don't want to use your phone.
We use Amazon Alexas ($25) for the kids. Then you have access to Spotify, Amazon Music, Pandora
How good are these sound machines? I’ve tried some apps on my phone but it’s so bad. A model someone would recommend?
Second C1. We have an echo dot in every room with a kid.
Yeah then you can drop in if needed to soothe them
Sounds machines are also great when you have more than 1. Put one in each room and it drowned out any sound so the kids don’t wake each other
I think part of it is an understandable reluctance to set boundaries early. Do you leave your bedroom door unlocked? Do you let them come in for any reason? Do you let them sleep with you if they’re mildly unhappy?
Yeah. Statistically, they’ll pop in at awkward moments. And they’re cute and small so you want to let them in and look after them. I get that.
I would still argue it’s important to establish that you (parents) are people, too, and need time with each other, are not to be woken up except in emergencies, etc. It can be done gently, but it should be done
Yeah, like rocking the house down
I agree with C1. I do have a sound machine and a room apart from at home but they wake up just like that
