Man, "What? I'm in a meeting?"
Woman, "Did you leave the refrigerator door open again?"
Man, "I can't right now I'm in a meeting, can you close it"
Woman, "Please, make sure it's shut, how many times do I have to tell you. My breast milk is in there, I'm already taking care of one child I don't need another. I'm not your mother!"
Planner,"Hey man, we wanted to tell you but I guess you couldn't hear us. Your camera was off but you weren't on mute.'
I’m quitting Friday - putting in my two weeks notice then moving to Europe! It’s my dream and I’ll regret it the rest of my life if I don’t try this out
Do it! Have fun! Experience the world while you can!
If it helps, I have a good friend who worked in Big 4, took a year off to travel the world and now he works at a huge corporation with an awesome tax job. You can get back onboard and have a great career. Employers who are worth it will appreciate your path.
Thanks for the support!!! At first it seemed like no one understood my decision... so happy to know others do!!
so jealous, take me with you!!!!
Nice!!! Jealous. Would love to do the same if I didn’t have a mortgage and pets. Best of luck to you
That's awesome! Do it before you have too many responsibilities and then you are stuck... If you can do this financially and everything, but you don't because you are scared or give a crap what other people think, then you will regret it. Go have the time of your life - work will always be here later.... good luck!
Do it! My buddy quit at Deloitte only to come back two months later haha
Kpmg1 that’s good though! He was able to come back! Anyone that fees compelled to leave should just go! A job is just a job
Go for it.
Go for it!!
Yes way to go! I’ve actually been thinking about this lately. Mind if I ask what level you are?
Awesome!!
Don't miss the horror stories of people who have done this and ended up cleaning utensils in foreign restaurants to buy their return ticket. Just an alternative perspective to be aware of.
As great as that sounds, there is a huge cost to do this both the actual traveling costs + opportunity costs (lost salary, delayed promotions).
Do it! If you think you will regret it when you look back on your life years from now....do it!
@EY 6 - who cares
