Depends on what you're looking for. I'm partial to Atlanta for the diversity/city feel. If you want outdoor activities and affordability, try Austin
Atlanta is waaaay more affordable than Austin.
Exactly. Not the city of Atlanta. Maybe the burbs. Be prepared to live in traffic if you live there.

Atlanta is great, but as a native Texan, I was a bit out of my element when I initially moved there (e.g., politics, demographics, etc.). I would definitely recommend visiting Atlanta first before deciding.

Atlanta is awesome. I moved here 6 years ago and love it. It’s a big city so there’s always something to do. There’s a bunch of music venues so there’s usually a good show to see, a ton of good restaurants and bars, and it’s close to the mountains so if you’re outdoorsy at all it’s good for hiking and camping.
