PwC - Anyone know if I'll get my bonus if I submit my 2 weeks before 9/29? Plan to still be here at that point but not sure if that's considered "actively employed".

Get your bonus, give no notice

like

It's really whether PwC plans for you to be employed on that date after you give notice.

like

Yes, but what is their definition of "actively employed"? I can either be professional and give them 2 weeks notice or I can get my bonus and give them no notice.

like

Move to Houston- we're getting our bonuses early 😜

like

You give 2 weeks notice and they may escort you out right then. You don't have the right to stay 2 weeks.

like

PwC5 I did. ;) What's the harm in double dipping?

like

Oh, good. In that case, I'd put my two weeks in and hope for the best. An I burned bridge is worth more than a Sr bonus.

like

Yeah I'd wait.

like

Right, but we have a severance policy where you can't be fired on the spot without cause. (in most cases)

like

The cause would be that you quit....

like

Just wait man. Whatever your going through will be worth it once that bonus hits your account

like

Wait it out

like

Per Pwc inside today you need to be actively employed on that date.

@op I see your dilemma. I think as others have said waiting and giving not notice would burn bridges. What level are you? I feel like it'd be petty of them to escort you out to save a few grand. And at higher levels would think they wouldn't want to burn bridges.

@pwc1 I'm a senior

You should have had a little foresight and negotiated it as a signing bonus at your new job.

You have to be active on 9/29 for sure.

I think the only time they really escort you out is if you go to a competing firm. If it's industry then they don't typically. I would wait just to be safe though.

Received an offer for a Product Manager role from a midsized financial services company for $120k base + 15% bonus. Currently making $130k + 15% bonus in consulting with 4 yoe. Is this a good offer? Should I ask for more base or signing bonus? Or is this pretty fair? Very inexperienced in salary negotiations.

Need help thinking through this…Debating leaving to a tech startup. Very early stage ($3-7M ARR), would have a big role leading strategy and Ops. It’s a cash paycut, which is a bummer but the equity would be pretty good. Just nervous about leaving before hitting the full manager role and taking a paycut in this market to bank on equity. For those of you have left, what kind of questions did you ask yourself to know it was the right time?

Hello! I’m gearing up for my year end comp conversation and I’d like to be a better idea of what people are making to ask for a raise. I work for a large asset manager and sell alternative investments (PE, RE, Credit, Infra etc) to RIAs, family offices, and multi family offices. I’m currently an associate, but am hoping to get VP this cycle. Any insight on what your comp looks like and how it’s structured would be super helpful!

How did you tell your manager you’re pregnant? Did it affect pay/promos? And then, subsequently, how did you start letting colleagues know you’re pregnant? Feels awkward to just randomly drop the news in a meeting! I work remotely so it’s hard to tell by video :) I’m 21 weeks and feel like I’ve waited as long as I can to at least notify my manager. I was waiting to negotiate my salary for next year but per company trend that doesn’t get set until January (manager reviews are written in Dec).
