Strong practice. Lots of different opportunities to find work that you are passionate about. $100-120k depending on how “high level” you are talking about. And travel will depend on your projects, so it can either be all local or all on the road.
Exactly what I do. It’s alright, honestly. Nothing too exciting. Nothing too terrible. A lot of NIST assessments and what not. I think the practice is growing pretty strongly. Average SA will make around $105k depending on level and city tier.
I asked this same question a while back and honestly we have a lot of breadth but there’s no depth. There’s very little quality/consistency and all the good people have left to do better things. Leadership doesn’t really “get it” as in they don’t understand Cyber well enough to really pitch something to the client and bring value. As others have said, we do a lot of NIsT CSF / ISO assessments but we aren’t really innovating in this space
100% travel means Monday to Friday. That's out of the norm. I left pwc for what p3 said. Also, pay is based on a cohort system and not flexible.
PS I’m always on the road, the way I prefer it
Thanks PwC1 and PwC2!
Spoke to a recruiter, travel is up to 100%, which I prefer (as in flying or trains) , but dont want to commute on the roads much, if that makes sense. I have performed various risk assessment and have a strong background in GRC.
Honestly it really depends on the project for travel. There's constant demand anyway so you'll be good
Thanks PwC3 and PwC4!
PwC4- I have looked into multiple cyber consulting opportunities, and all require travel, which is what I prefer over commuting anyday
Thanks GT1, I thought travel is Mon-Thurs and remote Friday? Regarding pay, agreed.
