Hi - I have donations given to Team Everest for Nov 2021 with receipt. But IBM AskHR says no support for donations tax exemption on Form 16. Thus, the donation isn't deducted on my Form 16. Can I now update the donation directly on E-filing.gov u/s 80G for exemption or will that cause an issue ? IBM

PwC Advisory (now Consulting Solutions) is on a cohort model.
Most years, most people move up in the cohort grid on July 1. So that’s a raise.
Most years, most cells in the cohort grid are adjusted (i.e. the salary is increased). So that’s a different kind of raise.
If someone joined in May, they would almost certainly not move in the cohort grid but if their cohort salary is adjusted they’ll receive whatever the new salary is.

But that’s not quite the same as saying there’s variation in base. Two M1s in the same cohort in the same tier city will always make the same. That’s the point of a cohort system.
This year we are actually seeing some folks go down the cohort - for example, if you came in as a SA1B, you might go to Sa1A to limit the amount of the raise. Check workday and chat with HR to get confirmation.
Yes it’s in your personal details in workday.

In my group all the new hires that are onboarded in May and June started with FY22 salaries (earlier than current employees), so they didn’t receive any additional increase on July 1st technically.

PwC 1 - I agree that it wasn’t done universally but we took that approach in our group because of high volume hiring needs.
I was told by the recruiter that I would, but haven't seen the increase yet
